D3 Development

D3 development specializes in the design and implementation of database driven applications allowing users to access them through various device types such as personal computers, using either web browser and windows applications, or mobile phones using integrated browsers. By applying three tiered design and service oriented architecture we have managed to create several scalable systems supporting large numbers of concurrent users and great flexibility in supporting access from multiple devices types.

Our developers focus on building applications running on the Windows systems both on the client side and the server side. New applications and website are all developed using the Microsoft .NET framework a they are server side or client side.

In websites our focus is primarly on the news and entertainment industry in which we have developed several big web sites and applications. We also have a great success in developing server side mobile solutions.

Our projects

We have developed a custom VAS system targeting on mobile phones. The system has a great support in various SMS games, large scale voting by SMS, real tone distribution and purchase and several other features used by Iceland second largest mobile company Vodafone.

We are currently maintaining and developing Iceland’s second biggest website www.visir.is which is a news portal combining data from the various sources such as print media, radio and television.

D3 owns and develops www.tonlist.is is one of the worlds first web site which sold music protected by the Windows DRM technology on the internet. Tonlist.is first version debuted in the year 2002. New version is currently due this spring and will have several great features such as better localization support, access available from PC computer and mobile and a better community support.

D3 owns and developed www.gras.is which is a news portal focused on soccer news. The application is written in ASP.NET 2.0 and is running on Sql Server 2000. The web site has had a great success since its debuted last spring.

Several interesting projects are under development such as porting the Iceland biggest Blog portal from PHP and MySql, to ASP.NET and Sql Server 2005. Other projects scheduled are the rewriting an old dating web site, einkamal.is previously written in ASP 3.0 to ASP.NET 2.0.
